Welcome to the Sistas Scrap Too! second blog hop! We had so much fun with our first hop that we decided to do a hop once a quarter. This is the hop for the first quarter of 2011 and we are glad you decided to join us! We have 13 designers working on our theme for this hop, which is none other than Valentine's Day. We've put a twist on it, asking the designers to use the colors red, black, and white in their designs. We can't wait to show you what we've come up with! Some of the Sistas went the traditional route and used traditional colors for their projects. What would craftin' be without creativity and diversity?! We know you'll enjoy what lies ahead on the hop route!!
Remember, start at the beginning of the hop and work your way through each blog. Please leave blog love (comments) along the way and become a follower of the blogs so that you can see the beautiful creations year round and not just when we have a hop! There are Sistas who are offering blog candy and you never know where you'll find some so be sure to visit each participating blog. Thank you for joining us for our 2011 SST! Valentine's Day Blog Hop! We hope you enjoy the creativity...
For my project, I decided to make a box that measures 4 inches by 4 inches. I used a stamp from Club Scrap's Let Me Count The Ways kit for my background. My chipboard hearts and the word love are inked with Fired Brick distress ink and I added pearls for a little extra.
I hope you enjoyed my project(s)! Here is the list of participating blogs. I've made them clickable to make it easier for you to follow along the hop route. Don't forget to stop by and visit everyone. Leave some blog love and enjoy!
I am participating in a swap on the Cricut MB and for this swap you were to make a handmade flower, a stickpin and a charm and then present it on a tag. I have never made stickpins or charms before this. I used beads that I found at Walmart and corsage pins. My handmade flower is made from 8 scalloped circles inked, spritzed with water and crumpled. It's held together with a mini brad. For my tag, I added some patterned paper and then ran it through my sizzix machine using the swiss dots embossing folder. I added ribbon and a jump ring to hold my charm. Thanks for looking!
On Paper Artists Online, there is a swap that is celebrating the second year of the group. Our theme is "celebrate". This is an ATC that I made for the swap. I used my Gypsy, Expression and the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge. This is my first gypsy project. I have to say that I love it and can't wait to learn more about it. Thanks for looking!

Hello everyone! This is my first blog hop ever so I am super excited! For my project, I chose to look forward to the New Year and made a little desk calendar. It has a saying on it that is inspirational and will help me start each day of the new year off right. Designer paper is from The Paper Studio. Cardstock is from Club Scrap's Birds of a Feather kit and stamps are from Club Scrap's Henna kit and Haberdashery kit.
Thank you for participating in the Sistas Scrap Too! first ever blog hop! Remember to visit all of the blogs and leave blog love -- you never know where you'll find candy!! Here is a linked list of all the participating blogs:
One of today's VSBN challenges at splitcoaststampers.com is to scrap something you had to work really hard to achieve. This is the house my husband and I had built in 2004. I never thought I'd be able to do that but with hard work anything is possible. I am proud that we will be able to leave this to our kids and hopefully they will learn our work hard morals. God has blessed us to have another home in North Carolina too but this is where we call home.
This is the layout that I completed for the first challenge for VSBN at splitcoaststampers. This LO is of my sister, my kids, my niece and my nephew. The paper and stamps came from Club Scrap's Gratitude kit. The chipboard letters come from a kit I purchased from Walmart.
